Artists

Old Reliable Records is a family of artists who have been knocking around with each other since the last gasp of the Chicago rock explosion of the 90's. We make cool music, and rely on ourselves to share it with the world. Hence our name...

NEW RELEASES: "BLOOD IN THE TRACKS - LOST STUDIO RECORDINGS" AND "LIVE AT THE DOUBLE DOOR 2004"

If you like your Cheap-Trick-sized hooks tinged with a hint of madness, you'll dig the Cells. Formed  in 1997, the Cells had a constantly changing lineup but still managed to become Chicago favorites with their bashing approach and catchy songs. They released their first album, "We Can Replace You," in 2002 and their second album, "Mayday" in 2006. They're assembling a collection of unreleased tracks, and started playing together again in 2015 after a long hiatus.

Formed in 2012, the Intimate Machines are a "supergroup" made up of Cory Hance and Johnny Furman of the Cells, Derrick Freeman of the Statutes of Liberty, and Jonathan Sarmiento of Torch Singer. Less distortion, more old-school guitar crunch, more of a Big-Star-esque jangle, a Replacements-ish sense of chaos and a few gut-punches of Stones-ey swagger.
